Kissing Sun

Sun rays bleed through the blinds.
A mother waking her child.
The warmth dancing on my skin.
Tiny dance steps running wild.

Tired eyes open to the sun.
Caring wife embracing her lover.
Dotting little kisses upon my face.
Tugging me away from the cover.

Sun beams gleefully smile.
Little daughter surprising her father.
A pining hug seeping deep through.
Not caring if she's a little bother.

Pulling the string to bask in light.
Lovers warmth envelopes the room.
Eyes adjusting to filter out.
Soaking in sunshine I bloom.

One Click.

Stay through night, you'll be awake.
We'll do a dance of blur.
Motionless pictures begin to quake.
Sudden movements flicker.

The cold sweat of seeing her.
A whirlpool of reactions.
Lifeless photos blend and stir,
Stirring away at the heart.

Her smile a abstraction
Of realizing a moment of something.
An allure to crush all distractions.
A longing touch of nothing.

She swings over to me, pulling me
Overboard in the ocean of memories.
Drowning, further sinking in this sea.
Her face ever so slicker.

Awaken to the glare of light.
Your smiling picture remains.
Once more I begin a emotional fight.
Yet, one click and I'm free.
